Some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress in the southern part of the country have said power should shift to the southern part of the country in 2023 for the sake of equity and fairness. INEC Plans Online Voter Registration, targets 16 Million Nigerians

In an attempt to address the cumbersome process of voter registration at the various centres in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, has said part of the registration exercise will be done online while biometric data capturing would take place at designated centres. The new initiative is expected to reduce overcrowding at the registration centres. The Northern Youth Leaders Forum (NYLF) has promised to oppose the All Progressive Congress (APC) if the party fails to zone its presidential ticket to the Southwest for the 2023 election.
