For his massive contributions to the success of Croatia, Luka Modric most deservedly won the Adidas Golden Ball Award as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. He won the award ahead of Eden Hazard of Belgium who came second and Antoine Griezmann of France who came third

Other awards that were presented include the Adidas Golden Boot Award for the highest goal scorer of the tournament which went to England’s Harry Kane who scored a total of 6 goals in the tournament. He won this award ahead of France’s Antoine Griezmann and Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku.

Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois won the Adidas Golden Glove Award for the tournament’s best goal keeper while France’s 19 year old Kylian Mbappe clinched the FIFA Young Player Award.

The Spanish team were awarded the tournament’s Fair Play Trophy.
