Super Falcons player, Christy Ucheibe is delighted to be on the scoresheet for the first time for the Nigerian team as they beat Botswana 2-0 in their second Group C match of the WAFCON 2022.
Ucheibe came on as a substitute for Rita Chikwelu before the second half began and scored the second goal of the encounter in the 48th minute.
She rose to head home a corner kick which was swung in by Toni Payne.
The win was the first for the defending champions who are now placed second in their group behind leaders South Africa.
Reacting to the win, Uchebe expressed joy for contributing to assisting the team to secure their first win in the tournament.
She wrote on her Twitter handle: “I am so proud to have scored my first goal for the Super Falcons and helped the team secure this important victory.”
The Falcons will play their last match of the group stage against Burundi on Sunday.
