Wife of Anambra State’s Governor-elect, Mrs Nonye Soludo says the involvement of women in the 2022 Transition Committee recently inaugurated by her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo represents an equal belief in the potentials of all genders.

The Transition Committee, which has already begun procedures for seamless administrative exchange in Anambra State come March 17, 2022, is headed by a one-time World Bank executive and former Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili.

The Committee also boasts a good chunk of acclaimed women professionals including Professor Uche Amazigo, Nkoli Anyaoku, Uche Onwuamaegbu, Chinyere Ossy-Okoye, among many others.

Assessing the committee, Mrs Soludo said that having notable female achievers in the team does not only represent an egalitarian choice for quality but says a lot about the interests of the incoming administration in equal opportunities for all genders, irrespective of their social, religious or ethno-political backgrounds.

The governor-elect’s wife also restated her readiness to work with all Anambra women, insisting that each woman has something to offer to good governance and must be afforded the opportunity to do so.

She said that her husband, Professor Soludo is a strong believer in practical diligence, merit and results, and observed that having women on board gives any work a distinctive colour.

While wishing the committee well in its duties, Mrs Soludo said that she looked forward to the unveiling of a brand new Anambra State.
