Strike Called off, Agreement Reached between FG and Labour - Keyamo

Minister of State for labour tweeted in the early hours of this morning that the federal government has reached an agreement with labour leading to a suspension of the scheduled strike action.

The tweet read “FG & LABOUR reach agreement at 2:53am. Deregulation to stay as Govt rolls out palliatives for labour (details in 2 weeks); Electricity tariffs suspended by Govt for 2 weeks with a joint Committee headed by @fkeyamo to examine the justification for the new policy. Strike suspended.”

As at the time of publication, the Nigerian Labour Congress had not updated its post on the group’s social media page where it made the initial announcement.
