Nigeria: President Buhari Treks a Whooping 800 Meters

In an obvious attempt at showing Nigerians and the world that he is indeed fit, President Buhari today trekked the whole of 800 meters home.

Buhari had gone to a mosque in his hometown Daura for Eid el-Kabir prayer after which he trekked home. The distance of the mosque to his home is about 800 meters.

800 meters is the about the same as walking up and down the length of a standard football pitch about four times. According to reports from the News Agency of Nigeria, he was cheered on by well wisher with the chant of “sai baba”.
