Top government officials in Kenya will be made to take lie detector tests in the government’s bid to fight corruption in the country. While announcing this, President Uhuru Kenyatta the test will be used to ascertain the integrity of its officials. He also said this move was one of the many processes the government will put in place in the fight against corruption.
He made the revelation while speaking on the issue of the 8bn Kenyan shillings (about $78m) that was reported missing from one of the government’s agencies.
President Kenyatta had promised to fight corruption when he was first elected President in 2013 and the scandal appears to be an indictment on his administration.
While speaking to Kenyans on the nation’s 55th independence anniversary, the President said they had to remove “corruption in our country before it fully destroys us and the future of our children.
“Let me now mention just one part of a raft of measures that we intend to implement to tackle corruption”.
He went on to say “As an initial step, all heads of procurement and accounts in government ministries, departments [and] agencies… will undergo fresh vetting, including polygraph testing to determine their integrity and suitability.
“Those who fail the vetting will stand suspended”.

The test should be introduced in Nigeria. Whom do you think will be the first person to be tested?
Let Lai Muhammed not even come near the machine, he will just damage it because it won’t be able to handle all the lies. 😀
