Gov Obaseki Appoints Osarodion Ogie as SSG

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has ratified the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esp., as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Obaseki who was sworn in on Tuesday for a second term in office disclosed in a statement that Ogie’s appointment was the only political appointment he would make for the time being.

He said that every other appointment will be delayed to the first week of February, 2021.

Recall that Ogie held the same position during the governor’s first term.

Obaseki who contested the September 19 governorship poll in the state under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated his closest rival, Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
