Why Adeboye’s Helicopter was Grounded

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, NAMA, has defended its decision to prohibit a private chopper owned by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God from flying. The agency said the cleric's chopper was suspended from flying by the regulatory authority over safety issues. Reports say the aircraft, AgustaWestland AW139 chopper, with registration number 5N-EAA, was issued flying suspension about two weeks, over the expiration of some of its papers and spare parts. Officials say the grounding of the aircraft would afford the regulator to carry out essential safety checks on safety-critical components, especially some spare parts due for replacement. Ghana Border Control on Alert to Nab Fleeing Nigerian Jailbreakers

The Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, has expressed readiness to prevent Nigerian jailbreakers from entering the country. To this effect, Kwame Asuah Takyi, the Comptroller-General of Immigration, has directed all Border Control Commanders to be on high-security alert to prevent them from entering Ghana. Nigerian Arrested for Obtaining Ghanaian Passport

A 28-year-old Nigerian man has been repatriated by the Kaneshie District Court for illegally acquiring a Ghanaian passport and birth certificate. The man identified as Iyamu, aka Anthony Kwarteng, had acquired a Ghanaian passport in Spain through a friend but the passport got missing when he paid a visit to Nigeria. He was arrested by the Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, while attempting to secure a new Ghanaian Passport at the Passport Application Centre, PAC, at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Accra.
