Terror Alert: Remain Vigilant – IGP Asks Citizens

In response to the terror alert issued by the US, Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has assured residents across the country of the commitment of the force to ensure the safety of lives and properties in collaboration with other security agencies. Canada, Australia Warn Citizens Over Likely Terror Attack In Abuja

Australian and Canadian authorities have warned their citizens to be on high security alert while traveling to and moving around Nigeria. This followed a similar alarm by the US and UK, warning of a likely terrorist attack in Abuja. The US followed up the warning by directing an evacuation of its citizens and embassy staff in Nigeria.   The Australian government in its advisory asked her citizens to reassess the need to embark on a travel to Nigeria. A commercial vehicle boarded by five passengers has been hijacked by unknown gunmen on the Emohua-Kalabari axis of the East-West Road in Rivers State.
