A popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has denied ever having anything to do with a Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Babafemi Ojudu. Ojudu, in a piece titled “The Sunday Igboho I knew” on his on his Facebook page on Monday, alleged Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) chieftains hired Igboho to disrupt the 2009 Rerun Governorship Election in Ekiti State. Akeredolu’s Quit Notice to Fulani, Constitutional – Falana

Femi Falana, SAN, has said that the order given by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State asking herdsmen to vacate forest reserves in the state within seven days is legal. Falana in a statement issued on Sunday said the governor was within his constitutional rights to issue such order. He cited Section 42 (1) (e) and (g) of the Forestry Law of Ondo State which provided that whoever in any forest reserve, except with authority in writing of the prescribed officer, digs, cuts, turns or cultivates the soil or makes a farm or plantation; pastures cattle or permits cattle to trespass or trespasses in any part of forest reserves in which trespass shall be prohibited by an order of the governor. FFK Warns Against Arrest of Sunday Igboho

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that it would be dangerous, reckless and counterproductive for the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to arrest Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, who issued a quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in Oyo State. The Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, had ordered the Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Ngozi Onadeko, to arrest Igboho with immediate effect. IGP Orders Arrest of Sunday Igboho

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, over an eviction order on Fulanis in Oyo State. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed this in an interview with BBC Hausa. He told BBC Hausa the IGP told him on the phone order had been given to the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, to arrest Igboho immediately and transfer him to Abuja.
