Sports: Nigerian Super Eagles Lose 0:1 to Czech Republic
In its final friendly before traveling to Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Nigerian Super Eagles this afternoon lost 0:1 to Czech Republic.
In a game that was largely uninspiring, the Super Eagles conceded the only goal of the match in the 25th minute of the first half and were not able to get any past the Czech goalkeeper till the end of the first half.
Upon resumption, the game was halted at about the 60th minute as a result of the heavy rains and wind that hampered play. When the game resumed, the Super Eagles took full control of the game, but could not convert the possession to a goal.
Nigeria will be facing Croatia in the first of their 2018 World Cup games on June 16.
