Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Ignatius Kaigama has faulted the move by the President of the United States, Joe Biden to increase funding for international abortions. Kaigama in an interview with Crux, said it is intriguing that one of Biden's first official acts is to promote the destruction of human lives domestically and in developing nations. Biden had issued an executive order rescinding the Mexico City Policy, which bans US aid from supporting NGOs which either provide or promote abortions abroad. Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity has faulted the quit notice handed down to Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah by the Muslim Solidarity Forum.
