Earphones Are Designed By Devil To Block Your Way Forward In Life – Oyedepo

The general overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (a.k.a. Winners' Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo has spoken against the usage of earphones and phones during church service, saying that it is a tool the devil created to block people from hearing God's word, IgbereTV reports. During a church service, he said to his congregation; "We live in a very rowdy time. Young generation, please listen to me. All these things you plug in your ear is to block your way forward. It is designed by the devil to block your way forward. No time to hear from God. Many have never heard anything from God. They even plug it in anywhere, on the streets. Noise, noise, noise! Zero access to divine guidance. Noise in the morning, afternoon, night. See Also: How I Wasn’t Harmed After Spending 7 H...

‘Use Headless Mannequins To Advertise Clothes, Cover Their Breast, Bottom Shapes, ‘— Kano Hisbah

The Islamic Police force in Kanu, known as Hisbah has announced regulation of mannequin use, ordering shops to use only headless mannequins to advertise clothing. This, it said, is because Islamic doctrines are against idolatry. "Islam frowns on idolatry," Haruna Ibn-Sina, the commander of the Sharia police said. BBC also quoted him as saying, "With the head-on, it looks like a human being." Ibn-Sina also wants the headless mannequins covered at all times because to show "the shape of the breast, the shape of the bottom, is contrary to the teachings of Sharia [Islamic law]". Also, some traders at Sabon Gari, a Christian-dominated part of Kano state, expressed their displeasure with the Hisbah's order. A shop owner, Chinedu Anya said displaying clothes on headless mannequi...

Democracy And Dictatorship Can’t Coexist – Bishop Kukah

Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah, has said democracy and dictatorship cannot coexist. The bishop cautioned that Nigeria is treading a dangerous path. Kukah who disclosed this at an event in Abuja on Wednesday said the country is treading a dangerous path because the youth are feeling disempowered. “This is a dangerous path we are treading. Our young people are feeling disempowered. We are faced with a nation that is consuming its own children. We are faced with the prospects of an uncertain future. It is impossible, even the worst enemy of Nigeria would never have contemplated that this is where we will be,” he said. Kukah said the 2023 elections will give Nigerians another opportunity “to think of the mistake we made”. He added: “Democracy is not an e...

Some Prophets See Nothing – Femi Adesina

There he goes again. Troublemaker. He wants to abuse our prophets, the vessels of God Almighty. Not so. Let me state from the beginning that I believe in prophecies and prophets. Good, sincere, genuine ones. “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established. Believe His prophets, so shall you prosper,” says the Good Book in 2 Chronicles 20:20. But when prophets play to the gallery, claim God has said, when God has said nothing, then they expose themselves to ridicule. From such, run away. Show clean pairs of heels. On Sunday, July 11, the final match of Euro 2020 was played between England and Italy at Wembley Stadium in London. The English team had a lot to play for. Since they last won the World Cup in 1966, also on home soil, they had won nothing again. Not even 5-a-Side ...

Mbaka Slams Governors For ‘Selling out’ Kanu

Fiery Catholic priest and founder of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, has blamed unnamed governors for the arrest of the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. The cleric did not name any governor, nor did he directly mention Kanu’s name throughout the course of his message during his popular Wednesday weekly ministration tagged E No Dey Again. It was apparent to everyone that he was referring to the IPOB leader and his latest travails as well as Southeast governors. The Enugu Catholic Diocese had barred Mbaka from commenting on political issues after his run-in with the presidency led to a temporary closure of his ministry. Mbaka jolted the congregation when he hinted that some governors had lured the IPOB leader into the hands of...
