IPOB Declares Nnamdi Kanu Prisoner Of Conscience

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says Nnamdi Kanu, its leader, has not committed any crime to warrant his detention. In a statement on Friday, Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesperson, said Kanu is fighting for the self-determination of his people, a recognised right by the United Nations Charter to which Nigeria is a signatory. EFCC Confirms Army’s Handover Of 20 Arrested TASUED Students For Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the handover of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) students arrested by the Nigerian Army, Newspremises reports. The officers of the 12 Field Engineering Regiment in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, took the 20 suspected internet fraudsters to EFCC Ibadan zonal command, where they handed them to the officials. The suspects were arrested during a raid conducted by the Nigerian Army at Ijagun, Odogbolu area of Ogun state. Abia Court To Hear Nnamdi Kanu’s N5bn Suit Against FG November 2

The Abia State High Court has fixed November 2 for the hearing of fundamental rights suit filed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, made this known in a press statement titled, ‘Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Fundamental Rights suit to be heard on 2nd November, 2021’, on Thursday. The lawyer had, on August 27, 2021, filed the case, demanding that the Federal Government return the secessionist to Kenya where he was “abducted”. The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed December 20 to deliver judgement in a suit challenging the emergence of Andy Uba as governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming November 6 poll in Anambra State. Mr Uba emerged as the APC’s candidate at a primary election held on June 26, 2021. George Moghalu, an aspirant in the APC primary election, is challenging the process and the outcome of the primary election. Benjamin Sawyerr, Director of Defence Information, issued a statement on Sunday in Abuja dismissing the images and videos.
