Fani-Kayode Apologises for Calling a Journalist ‘Stupid’

Denies threatening Journalist Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has apoligised for calling a journalist ‘stupid’ during a verbal attack in Calabar, Cross River State on Tuesday. His apology was tendered through a post on his official Facebook page in the early hours of Wednesday. Fani-Kayode had verbally assaulted a journalist who asked him a question in Calabar during his tour of the South. The former minister had said in a statement that he “had no apology to offer for how he lashed out.” The Daily Trust journalist had allegedly sought to know who was bankrolling Fani-Kayode which prompted an outburst from him. Violent Clash in Enugu Claims Lives of ‘21’ IPOB Members, Two DSS Operatives (See Video)

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that 21 of its members were killed in a violent clash with security operatives and 47 others arrested in Emene, Enugu State on Sunday. The Department of State Services (DSS) has also alleged that two of its operatives were killed by members of the IPOB. The claims were made by the IPOB and SSS in separate statements on Sunday. The clash left residents of the neighborhood gripped with fear as armed police officers and soldiers were deployed to ensure normalcy returns to the area. Cash for Trash Recycle Hub: FCT Launches Waste Management Initiative

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister of State, Ramatu Tijani has launched a waste management initiative tagged “Cash 4 Trash” recycling hub in Nyanya, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC)as part of effort to rid the city of indiscriminate refuse disposal. The minister while flashing off the project, stated that the scheme was introduced to encourage healthy environment and control erosion in the city, noting that blockage of drainage systems has been the bane of flooding in some parts of the territory.
