Erstwhile governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has lamented what he labelled as the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver on his campaign promises. Oyinlola while admitting he played a key role in the emergence of Buhari, expressed regret over his action, noting that he should have listened to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s warning that Buhari was unfit to govern the country. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has launched an online portal for the registration of voters in line with its commitment to resume the Continuous Voter Education next week. This was disclosed by the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, while briefing newsmen on Monday in Abuja. Yakubu in a statement issued on Tuesday titled, “Continuous Voter Registration: Media professionals, INEC agree to sensitise citizens,” said that the online registration will help to reduce the burden of long queues during CVR.
