“Thank You Sir”, Dino Melaye Accepts Appointment As Atiku’s Spokesperson

Dino Melaye, former Kogi West Senator, has accepted his appointment as a spokesperson for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for the 2023 presidential election. Recall that Atiku had in a statement released by Paul Ibe, his Special Adviser on Media, announced Melaye’s appointment with immediate effect on Thursday. 2023 Election: Atiku Appoints Dino Melaye, Bwala As Spokespersons

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appointed former legislator, Dino Melaye and Dr. Daniel Bwala as his spokespersons ahead of the 2023 presidential campaign. INEC Alerts Nigerians about Fake Online Registration Portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has alerted Nigerians about the existence of a false online site asking people to enroll for their permanent voter card (PVC). The Commission had already announced that voter registration would end on the 31st of July but barely 24 hours after the suspension of voter registration, a fake online portal claimed the government has approved the registration of PVC online. The Commission said the site is not linked to INEC, saying the portal is not authentic and from a fraudulent source. Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State Governor, has stated that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, does not possess enough experience to lead the country. Okowa, the vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, disclosed this in an interview with the BBC pidgin. Umahi Emerges APC Senatorial Candidate In Fresh Polls

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has emerged as the winner of the Ebonyi South All Progressives Congress, APC, Senatorial fresh election conducted in the State.   The result was declared by Prof. Emmanuel Adebayo, the Chairman of the Electoral Panel for the APC Ebonyi South Senatorial district election. He announced that Umahi polled a total of 250 votes to win the election. He said that out of 275 votes cast, 268 votes were valid while 7 were invalid. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has insisted that the Continuous Voters, CVR, exercise will not be extended as it is set to stop on July 31, 2022 (today). 2023 Election: INEC To Provide 200,000 BVAS – Okoye

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said that over 200,000 Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, will be deployed for the 2023 general elections. This was disclosed by Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, in Umuahia, Abia State. He said that the BVAS would be deployed in the 176,000 polling units across the country, adding that the surplus will be kept handy as a reserve.
