The management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, has described the statement credited to the president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, calling some State universities quacks as unfortunate and reckless. EKSU ASUU Kicks Against Resumption Order

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti chapter, has kicked against the resumption order issued by the management of the institution. Dr Kayode Arogundade, the Chairman of the union, stated this in an interview on Friday. Arogundade however stated that the university’s Registrar, Ife Oluwole, was at liberty to reopen the university which he shut down following the strike by ASUU. ASUU Strike: FG Discloses Strategy To End Lingering Strike

The Federal Government has said it will utilise voluntary conciliation as a solution to the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and other university-based unions. This was stated by Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, on Tuesday during a 3-day capacity-building workshop on International Labour Standards and Dispute Resolution in Nigeria in Abuja.
