Tweep Remanded In Prison For Criticizing Aisha Buhari

A Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court on Tuesday remanded a 500-level student of the Federal University, Dutse, Aminu Muhammad, in a custodial centre for allegedly criticing the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari. The 24-year-old was accused of tweeting against the first lady of Nigeria. Tiktokers To Be Flogged In Kano For Defaming Ganduje

The Kano State Magistrates’ Court in its ruling on Monday ordered the flogging of two comedians identified as Mubarak Muhammad, and Zazifi Bala, for abusing Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on their Tiktok handles. According to Magistrate Aminu Gabari, in his ruling on Monday, the duo should be given 20 lashes for their offense and will sweep and wash toilets in the surroundings of the court for a period of 30 days. The Magistrate ordered that the individuals be publicly flogged. The convicts were also ordered to pay a fine of N10,00 each for defaming Ganduje and a further N10,00 for causing public disturbance. Nnamdi Kanu’s Counsels Serve DSS, Malami Appeal Court Ruling

Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team has served copies of the judgment of the Court of Appeal that freed the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on the Department of State Services and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN. Kanu’s counsels said that with the handover of the court order, the Federal Government is left with no choice but to free Kano from detention. Nine Ghanaians Jailed For Cannabis Smuggling Into Nigeria

Nine Ghanaians have been sentenced to eight years imprisonment each by the federal high court in Laos for attempting to smuggle cannabis into Nigeria. The court overturned the judgement of a federal high court in Abuja that asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to recognize David Edevbie as the authentic candidate of the PDP for the guber poll.
