Second Wave: Rivers Govt. To Re-impose Lockdown

Governor Nyesom Wike on Sunday disclosed that he will re-impose lockdown from January 2021, following the rising number of new cases of coronavirus in Rivers State. Wike gave the hint during a thanksgiving ceremony held for Mrs. Priscilla Nwanediye Mark on her 90th birthday at the St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government on Sunday. Women Affairs Minister, Pauline Tallen Tests Positive for COVID-19

Pauline Tallen, Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, has tested positive for COVID-19. This was contained in a statement the minister issued on Sunday, which she personally signed. She disclosed that though she was asymptomatic, her test result showed that she was positive. Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has tested negative for COVID-19, less than one week after contracting the virus. The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has rubbished reports that its website, nimc.gov.ng, has crashed.
