Kwara Gov Greets Olofa of Offa at 56

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Saturday felicitated with the Olofa of Offa Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi (Esuwoye II) on his 56th birthday. This contained in a statement signed by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor. "On the occasion of another birthday of His Royal Highness, I commend him for his focused and mature leadership of the people of Offa and his commitment to their welfare," AbdulRazaq said in a statement in Ilorin, the state capital. The Governor prayed the Almighty God to grant the Olofa many rewarding and successful years on the throne of his forefathers.

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) on Wednesday urged  residents to properly dispose of their domestic wastes during and after the forth-coming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. The Assistant Director, Public Affairs of LAWMA, Mrs. Folashade Kadiri, disclosed this in a statement that adequate measures had been put in place to ensure that the celebration was observed in a filth-free environment, as waste evacuators have been mandated to work round the clock to clean up the city. The Lagos State Government has commenced the sales of Lake Rice at various outlets across the State in preparation for the coming Eid-el-Kabir celebration. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Olayiwole Onasanya disclosed that Lake Rice is available for sale at sales centres across the State including the Agricultural Development Authority Complex, Oko-Oba; Lagos State Agriculture Inputs Supply Authority (LAISA), Ojo and the Blue Roof at LTV Complex, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
