More than one Month after Abuja Concert, Naira Marley Yet to be Prosecuted

As Nigeria battle to contain the spread of COVID-19, the country in line with global containment measure imposed a nationwide lockdown.   The imposed lock down restricted inter-state travels across Nigeria. Surprisingly, Nigerians woke to the news of a concert at Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja which was headlined by popular soapy crooner, Azeez Adeshina popularly known by his stage name, Naira Marley.   The show attracted a massive crowd who neither observed social distancing nor wore face masks as prescribed by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on coronavirus which had prescribed safety protocols to regulate gatherings. Rape Allegation: D’banj Sues Accuser Seyitan for N1.5B

Popular Nigerian musician D’banj has lodged a libel suit of N1.5 billion on his rape accuser Ms. Seyitan through his counsel Mike Ezekhome (SAN) Ms. Seyitan had called D’banj out for sexually molesting her at a Glee Hotel, Victory Island, Lagos on December 31, 2018.  which she said took Dbanj procured the services of controversial and foremost Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), to slam a libel suit of N1.5 billion naira on the Ms. Seyitan, a lady who had accused him of rape. Nigeria: Muslim Rights Concern Gives Falz 7 Days to Withdraw Video

Falz is once again the center of attention with regards to his "This is Nigeria" video. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has given Falz a 7-day period within which to withdraw the video and apologise to Nigerians. According to the group, if he does not do this, he will face legal actions. The group particularly had issues with the girls dancing "shaku shaku" while dressed in hijab. They also commented on the Fulani man who was shown beheading someone after dropping his traditional guitar.
