My Mum Abused Me Physically, Verbally and Spiritually

African parents abuse their children all in the name of home training and discipline. I saw an article online and I totally agree with it. African parents abuse their children all in the name of home training and discipline. My mum abused me, yes she did. She did that both physically, verbally and spiritually. Its funny though but till now I am still traumatized. My dad was a little understanding, but he was out most times so I always had my mum to deal with. My mum would beat me for playing, she would beat me for coming second or third position in class, she would beat me for not wanting to eat swallow, she would beat me for coming back home with a dirty school uniform, my house was a living hell. My mum had a collection of "kpankere" she used to buy and keep in the house jus...

Fashion: Dress Like You by Lois Emmanuel

There are many ways by which we express ourselves and fashion happens to be one of the most because it is a visual medium. Let’s be honest, one of the first things a person sees when they look at you is what you wear, which is why it is so easy to judge a person by what they wear. The two most common ways people dress are : i) To Impress. ii) To Express. Dressing to impress in this context means wearing things in such a way to please other people; maybe because because an invisible law says you should. Dressing to express, on the other hand means wearing things that you like and feel comfortable in, no matter what anybody thinks. SOME REASONS WHY PEOPLE DRESS TO IM...
