Obiano’s Arrest: CACOL Hails EFCC, Urges Them Not To Leave Any Stone Unturned 

The Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership, CACOL, on Friday, hailed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for arresting former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos. Obiano was reportedly on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas in the United States after handing over to his successor, Governor Charles Soludo. It was reported last November that the EFCC had placed Obiano on a watchlist. The EFCC had requested the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to inform it anytime Obiano is travelling out of the country from any of the international airports, as well as other points of entry and exit. EFCC Arrests Willie Obiano At Lagos Airport 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday night arrested the former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos. He was arrested at about 8.30pm. This development is coming hours after Obiano handed over to Charles Soludo, who is the new governor of the state. Osondu Victor Igwilo: US Reacts To Arrest Of Fraudster On FBI Wanted List

The United States Government through its mission in Nigeria has reacted to the arrest of a notorious fraudster, Osondu Victor Igwilo by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Igwilo was arrested by Operatives of the Anti-graft Commission on Thursday, March 11 after 4 years of being on the run. He was declared wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, over fraud related crimes in 2018. Embattled Police Officer, Abba kyari has claimed that his health has deteriorated badly since his detention by the National Drug law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
