Chrisland Breaks Silence On Sex Scandal, 5 Pupils Misbehaved In Dubai

Chrisland School, Lagos, has broken its silence on the sex scandal that forced Lagos government to shut all its branches in the state. In a viral video, a 10-year-old female pupil of the school was seen being involved in sexual act with some male pupils.The incident, which sparked outrage on social media, was said to have occurred during a trip to Dubai for the World School Games that held between March 8 and March 14, 2022.In the statement, which Akin Fadeyi, a member of the School’s Advisory Board issued on behalf of the management, the school confirmed that a total of 76 students were taken to Dubai.Of the 76 children who represented Chrisland, Fadeyi disclosed that 71 “ensured an untainted adherence to the standards, abiding with laid down regulations and code of conduct”“Withi...

The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has terminated the appointment of a lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Kelani Ajadi Omotoso, for alleged sexual misconduct. The institution’s Registrar/Secretary to the Council, M. T. UNICEF Expresses Concern Over Jailing of 13-Year-old Child in Kano for Blasphemy

The United Nations Children’s agency, Unicef has condemned the sentencing of 13-year-old Omar Farouq to 10 years in prison with menial labour for blasphemy by the Kano State Sharia Court at Feli Hockey, Kano. UNICEF representative in Nigeria, Peter Hawkins condemned the sentence by the Sharia Court for uncomplimentary comments describing it as an abuse of child right. “It also negates all core underlying principles of child rights and child justice that Nigeria – and by implication, Kano State – has signed on to,” Hawkins said. Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) has concluded a two-day workshop to strengthen the capacity of religious institutions to respond to domestic violence as it remains a punishable crime in the state. The event held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja was organised in collaboration with the European Union (EU)-funded Rule of Law and Anti Collaboration Programme and Nigeria Policing Programme, was aimed at sensitising religious organisations and ensuring adequate response to complaints of sexual and gender-based violence in the State. Police Arrested a 24 Year Old Woman who appeared on a Viral Video detaining a Boy in a Dog Kennel in Lagos

On 14th August, 2019, a team of detectives from the Gender Unit, Command’s Headquarters Ikeja, arrested one Onyinye Mbadike ‘f’ 24yrs of No 7 Trimnell Street, Aguda for assault and child abuse. This followed a viral video on the social media showing the suspect torturing one Chibike EziAmaka ‘m’ 10years old of same address. The video also showed the suspect locking the boy up in a dog’s kennel, sharing space with dogs. The video was widely condemned by well meaning Nigerians.
