Benue Gov’s Convoy Involved In Auto Crash In Abuja

The convoy of Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has been involved in an auto crash in Abuja on Sunday. This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Terver Akase, noting that there was no casualty in the crash. Akase said the convoy was returning to Benue State after escorting the governor to the Abuja airport for a foreign trip when a collision occurred with a gold around the Karu Flyover in the Nyanya area of Abuja. Terrorist Attack – Seven Soldiers Feared Dead in Taraba

A suspected terrorist attack has left about seven soldiers dead in Taraba State. Reports say that the soldiers were killed in a forest located around Amdami in the Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State on Thursday. The incident was confirmed by the Chairman of Karim Lamido council, Markus Hamidu, according to Daily Post. The soldiers were reportedly on patrol within the area. Hamidu said, “Seven soldiers were killed by bandits yesterday (Thursday) around Amdami area. It is very unfortunate. ASUU Strike: NLC Mulls Protest Over Lingering Crisis

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has threatened to embark on a one-day national protest over the continued ASUU strike and to persuade the Federal Government to settle their labour dispute with university-based unions. The NLC said that a review of its reports showed that not much has been to meet the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and other university unions.
