2023 U-20 AFCON: CAF Congratulates Flying Eagles MOTM Winner

Confederation of African Football, CAF, has congratulated Flying Eagles striker, Solomon Agbalaka, following his impressive performance in the win over Egypt which resulted in a Man of the Match Award at the 2023 U-20 AFCON. The Flying Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Young Pharaohs of Egypt 1-0 at the Cairo international stadium on Wednesday, February 22. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has suspended the ongoing 2023 Direct Entry registrations. Eight students of Madonna University in Rivers State have been burnt to death in a road mishap, reports say. The incident took place along the Trans-Saharan road in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on Saturday while the students were travelling to Taraba State. According to TheCable, the undergraduates were travelling home after the school went on a break to permit students to vote in the forthcoming elections.   Their bus allegedly caught fire and got burnt beyond recognition, leaving eight dead and 10 other passengers seriously injured. A middle-aged woman identified as Mama Dada has set herself on fire in her rented apartment allegedly over her inability to offset a N70,000 loan she took from a microfinance bank.
