Atiku vs Wike: Resign Now, PDP chieftain Tells Ayu
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sam Ohuabunwa, has asked the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to resign from his position if it will help end the dispute between the party’s presidential candidate and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
Ohuabunwa stated this during an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday.
There have been reports that prior to his election, Ayu allegedly agreed to step down if the party elected a Northerner as its presidential candidate.
However, after the election of Atiku who is a Northerner, Ayu remains in power and maintains he has no intention of stepping down as the party’s national chairman.
