EFCC Official Reveals AGF Malami’s Role In Unfreezing Accounts

In a leaked audio, an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mohammed Idris, has revealed how the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, compromised cases of corruption in the country. Mr Malami had recommended the appointment of the current EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, to President Muhammadu Buhari in February this year. Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa says his administration will sustain its partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to ensure safety on roads in the state, especially during the yuletide. Okowa stated this at a joint media briefing he held at Government House, Asaba, with the Corps Marshal of FRSC, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, on traffic management in the state during the Christmas season. Joseph Nwobike Beats EFCC At The Supreme Court, Gets Reinstated As SAN

The Supreme Court has upturned the conviction of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr. Joseph Agburuwhuo Nwobike. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arraigned him before a Lagos State High Court for the perversion of justice. The 18 counts bordered on attempting to pervert the course of justice, offering gratification to a public officer and giving false information to an EFCC official. He was convicted in 2018 on 12 of the counts by Justice Raliatu Adebiyi. Nwobike was subsequently stripped of his SAN title. Gunmen Kill Vigilante, Abduct DSS Officer In Abuja

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a Department of State Services operative during an attack on residents in Abaji, Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Saturday. The hoodlums also reportedly killed a vigilante member during the incident which occurred overnight. The armed men were said to have invaded the community in their numbers and attacked a DSS outpost in the area. During the exchange of gunshots with the DSS operatives, the gunmen successfully kidnapped a DSS operative. Twitter has withheld a tweet by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo for copyright violation. On March 8, the vice-president posted a video in commemoration of International Women’s Day. Beyonce’s song ‘Run the World’ was used as the video’s audio.
