Ekiti APC Riddled with Suspensions

Following the suspension of the Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi by some frontline members of the Ekiti state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State on Friday, it has been revealed that the action was in retaliation for Wednesday’s ‘indefinite suspension’ of Senator Babafemi Ojudu and others by the governor’s loyalists. The group which calls themselves the Authentic Members of the APC alleged that the governor worked against the party’s candidate in last Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State. The Governor has come out to dismiss the action of the group as a joke taken too far. In a swift reaction, the APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CENCPC) stepped in yesterday and annulled the rash of suspensions hand...

PDP recalled that the Z-pad technology failed during a test-run deployment for voter accreditation in a recent by-election in Nasarawa State, a situation that informed its rejection by INEC for voter accreditation in the September 19 Edo State governorship election, where it was only used to assist in direct uploading of results to INEC’s virtual portal. INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had earlier disclosed the use of Z-pad in the election during an interaction with the media ...
