Sanwo-Olu Expands Scope of Judicial Panel to Lekki Shooting, Provides Funds for Private businesses

Following public outcry over the shooting at Lekki Tool Gate area of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expanded the scope of the judicial panel of inquiry to cover the incident.

The panel of inquiry was initially scheduled to investigate cases of police brutality in the state but will now seek to unravel circumstances surrounding the shooting in a bid to bringing the culprits to justice.

The development was contained in a tweet by Governor Sanwo-Olu in his verified Twitter handle on Monday morning (today).

He said, “Well done to the youths in Lagos for coming together to select Rinu Oduala & Majekodunmi Temitope to join the Lagos Judicial Panel on SARS as part of our commitment to justice and compensation for victims of Police brutality. Proceedings are public, follow @LagosSarsPanel
