The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has demanded the Federal High Court to Disqualify Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State and the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the 2023 governorship election for certificate forgery.
The party filed a suit FHC/ABJ/CS/1324/2022 by its lawyer, Paul Erokoro, SAN, urging the court to direct the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify Abdulrazaq.

The Suit filed claimed the Governor’s affidavit supporting his personal particulars and documents published by INEC were false.
The Party also claimed to the court that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate presented to INEC did not belong to the governor as the certificate bears another name stated ‘RAZAQ A. R.’
PDP says the court should declare the certificate presented by Abdulrazaq was forged.
The party also asked the court to disqualify the All Progressive Congress (APC) from presenting a candidate.
The case which was raised on Thursday was adjourned by Justice Ekwo to the 5th of October for hearing.
