The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, has said his concern over the country’s myriad of problems is giving him sleepless nights.

He said this on Tuesday while delivering his Ramadan Tafsir at Al-noor mosque Wuse II in Abuja.

Pantami said Nigeria is currently battling several problems in the areas of insecurity, economic, and social problems.

According to the minister, the solution starts from every individual citizen despite their status.

He said, “We don’t have a better home than Nigeria and if it is better, it is for our collective good and if is not, we are the ones to suffer.

Pantami, therefore urged Nigerians to continue praying for the peace and stability of the country.

Recall that Pantami has been under public scrutiny recently owing to his past pro-Taliban comments supporting the activities of terrorist groups including Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

The minister who has been an Islamic scholar for about three decades, in viral audio clips that surfaced recently stated that he was always happy when infidels – non-Muslims – were massacred.

He has since expressed regrets over the comments, blaming immaturity. However, many Nigerians continue to demand his sacking or resignation.
