The newly elected governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni has married a third wife barely 24 hours after he was sworn into office.

He got married to Ummi Adama Gaidam, the daughter of Ibrahim Gaidam, the immediate past governor of the state. This means that the past governor handed over to his son-in-law.

The marriage is thought to be more of a political move than a thing of the heart. They were married in a low-key event at the former governor’s residence.

The new bride is currently a student in Saudi Arabia.
