Nigeria: Vice Presidential Aspirants’ Debate Holds Today 14th of December 2018

Ahead of the 2019 general elections the Vice Presidential aspirants’ debate will be holding today at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja by 7 pm. The debate is jointly organised by the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) and the Nigerian Election Debate Group (NEDG). the debate will be televised on all member stations of BON (NTA, Channels TV, AIT, Silverbird TV, etc.).

Only aspirants from five parties have however been cleared to participate in this debate. These include:

1) Yemi Osinbajo (APC)

2) Peter Obi (PDP)

3) Umma Getso (YPP)

4) Alhaji Abdulganiyu Galadima (ACPN)

5) Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya (ANN)

As excluded parties continue to protest their exclusion, the organizers have not made their criteria for choosing the parties that will participate in the debates public.

Mr John Momoh, BON chairman, has announced that the debate will also be streamed live on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Nigerians can participate via Twitter page https://twitter.com/NaijaDecides19/with_replies or using the hashtags #2019debate, #2019election.
