Former Delta Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is set to return to his former party the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to inside sources, Uduaghan will dump the APC at about 12 noon on Monday, 28 September. He had earlier left the PDP to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) where he contested the Delta South senatorial seat in 2019.
The former Governor who has numerous supporters across the state is expected to lead them back to the PDP at his Unit, in Ward 6, Abigborodo, Warri North local government area of the state.
It has been reported that several of his supporters have already thronged Abigborodo ahead of the defection. reports aso emerged that the ex-governor had concluded plans to return to the PDP where he served as Governor for two terms.
Uduaghan who left the party after several unresolved issues with his successor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
However, the issues have been resolved according to some inside sources as Uduaghan was recently sighted at the Annual General meeting of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara with Governor Okowa and his predecessor, Chief James Ibori in attendance.
Although there has not been any confirmation from Uduaghan’s camp of a defection, some of his loyalists, including Hon. Godwin Abigor, a former Delta Assembly lawmaker, last week defected to PDP.
