Nigeria: Osun Elelctions – PDP Alleges Crack Down on Its Officials in the State

The People’s Democratic Party has this afternoon alleged that there is an ongoing crack down on its official in Osun state. In a series of tweets, the party said this was in preparation of a plot to rig the runn-off elections.

It tweeted “Breaking! Ongoing Random Arrest of PDP Leaders/Supporters in Osun State.There is an ongoing crackdown on top PDP leaders at Osogbo,Ile Ife and Orolu in preparation for the grand plot to rig the forthcoming supplementary polls.”

It noted that one of its top leaders, Aljhaji Fatai Diekola was arrested “At Osogbo, a top leader of the @OfficialPDPNig, Alhaji Fatal Diekola was arrested. He was rough handled and beaten up despite his ill health. His aides were matcheted. Other PDP leaders at Osogbo are been harrassed with many of them unable to sleep in their respective homes.”

It also alleged that a meeting of its leaders was disrupted by hooded thugs suspected to be APC thugs. “The situation is the same in Orolu as @OfficialAPCNg thugs struck this morning ,beaten up @OfficialPDPNig leaders.Meeting of PDP leaders was disrupted by hooded thugs from the APC with violence unleashed on innocent party members and supporters.”

Finally, the party has cried out that it has recieved information that PVC cloning was ongoing at the government house in Osogbo “We also learnt that there is ongoing cloning of PVC at the Government House, Osogbo.We were told the PVCs of the affected areas have been tampered with through @inecnigeria database. All these are been done to manipulate the supplementary poll.”
