The Nigerian Aviation Handling Handing Company Plc, NAHCO, staff members have announced a suspension of their strike embarked on in the quest to demand salary increases.
The aviation workers, under the umbrella of the national union of air transport employees, NUATE, and air transport services senior staff association of Nigeria, ATSSSAN, said the management of NAHCO had begun negotiations with its workers.
This was stated by the deputy general secretary, ATSSSAN, Frances Akinjole, in an interaction with journalists on Monday.

Akinjole said, “It has been suspended, and they have agreed to commence negotiation on the salary issue with us.”
Recall that flights at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport were disrupted earlier on Monday when the NAHCO staff members staged a walk out at the international airport.
In a video seen by TheCable, many passengers were stranded at the international airport, moving about helplessly with their luggage.
The industrial action also grounded both inbound and outbound flight schedules.
