Some yet to be identified gunmen killed six people in the wee hours of Sunday in a village near Wasinmi, a community along Ife/Ibadan way, Osun State.
Though the identities of the killers could not be obtained at the point of filing this report, police operatives, men of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, and Hunters Group of Nigeria were said to have been deployed in the bush in the area.
The incident was confirmed by the Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, noting all the deceased were members of the same family, Punch reports.
Opalola noted the state Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, had visited the scene of the incident.
