The Federal Government has called upon the National Industrial Court (NIC) to settle the trade dispute between it and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

To that effect, The NIC has summoned both parties to appear before the Court on Monday in Abuja to look through the ongoing strike embarked on by the university unions.
The Federal Government wants the Court to direct ASUU to resume academic activities after shutting down public universities for eight months.
The Court issued a letter on the 9th of September, signed by the chief register, stating the court sitting would hold at No 11, New-Bussa close, Area 3, Garki Abuja, on Monday 12th of September 2022, at 9 am.
