Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation has said that delegates who voted at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary have realized their mistakes and now regret their action.
Amaechi, a former Governor of Rivers State said that delegates are ordinary Nigerians who allowed money to influence their decision.
He said this while speaking at the 60th birthday celebration of Apostle Eugene Ogu, General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State at the weekend.
The former APC presidential candidate said that influencing decisions with money will not take the country to greater heights. He also solicited for prayers from the clergy for the ordinary Nigerians to help them vote a President that would provide solutions to the country’s challenges.

He said, “Those who voted at the APC primaries, who are they? They are ordinary Nigerians. The small money they got solved their immediate problem, now they are saying they made a mistake, you are now hearing different things.
“If you are praying for us, pray for the leadership of the country, but also pray for ordinary Nigerians to be able to choose the right President to govern the country.
“Giving money is not the solution to Nigeria’s problem. The solution to Nigeria’s problem is that all of you must all rise.”
Recall that Amaechi finished second during the APC presidential primary in Abuja. He was defeated by former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu. There were reports of vote-buying during the party’s primary.
