There was an explosion in a community in Okene Local Government Area, LGA, of Kogi State on Thursday.
The development took place at a mosque near the palace of Ado Ibrahim, the paramount ruler of Ebiraland.
President Muhammadu Buhari is presently in the area to inaugurate projects executed by the state government.

The Police spokesperson in Kogi State, William Aya, did not respond to calls and text messages by Cable to react to the explosion.
Although TheCable reports that it was an explosion, the Kogi State commissioner of information, Kingsley Fanwo, said, “it was a mere transformer spark which injured one person”.
