Abuja-Kaduna Train: How FG Paid For Bandit’s Wife Delivery, Released Children – Presidency
The Presidency has said that terrorists deceived the government to pay for the delivery of the wife of a terrorist.
Recall that suspected terrorists had in March kidnapped some passengers on board the Kaduna-Abuja train.
The terrorists have been releasing the captives in batches since then with the lasts being seven passengers aboard the train.
Speaking to BBC Hausa service on Friday, Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari said some children of the terrorists were freed from detention.
Shehu added that the terrorists reneged on an agreement that involved freeing the abducted passengers after the government sent a place to fly the children of the terrorist from Adamawa State after they were freed.

Shehu said, “The terrorists’ leader demanded the release of his pregnant wife. The government took her to the hospital and she gave birth to twins.
“He was shown that his wife and children are healthy and they were handed over to his parents.
“During the night, the government sent a plane to pick them up. We expect that if they are given these, they will release all the people they are holding.
“But what happened next was that they said they needed money. So don’t say the government doesn’t have anything.”
