A two year old girl has reportedly been raped by two suspected rapists in Yauri local government area of kebbi state. The iniquitous act has been confirmed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
NSCDC Public relation officer (PRO) verified the report of the case to the news agency of Nigeria (NAN). He confirmed the case was taken up to the command from yauri local government area.
“Yes, we have received a rape referral case of a two- year-old girl (name withheld), from our personnel in Yauri local government area of the state”.
“Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the rape but the investigation is ongoing, and will be carried out to its logical conclusion”.
“That is only what I can say for now until the investigation is over,”
Those were the statements of the PRO, Akeem Adeyemi.

Dr. Bulus Godiya, who is the chieftain of Yauri General Hospital also confirmed the child was defiled. The child was later transferred to another hospital, named Kalgo Medical Centre for further treatment. Dr. Bulus addressing the issue said,
“Not only our commission, but other rights groups, such as Yauri Women Development Association, Hisbah Committee, among others, are all involved in trying to see that justice is served on the suspects, after investigation is concluded.”
Still on the incident, the coordinator of National Human Right, Alhaji Hamza Wala mentioned that the committee is now aware of the despicable act perpetrated against the 2 year old girl.
The father of the child also attested to the deed done against his daughter
” It happened to my daughter, but I can’t talk much on that now.” He said,
