In a surprising turn of events a day to the elections, it appears that IPOB has called off its decision to boycott the elections. In a tweet released on Nnamdi Kanu’s Twitter handle, the leader of IPOB said the election boycott had been called off.

According to him, their preconditions and terms had been met. “Having confirmed this evening that all our preconditions and terms have been met, signed, sealed and delivered; I hereby call-off the election boycott across Biafraland on Feb. 16, 2019. I dedicate this historic victory to the formidable family worldwide.”

It is not clear at this time what these preconditions and terms are and who met them.
