Joe Igbokwe, a stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State, has called on leaders of the South-East region to choose their main priority ahead of the general elections in 2023.
He asked the leaders of the South-East to choose among Biafra agitation, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, and the Senate President.
Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources, disclosed this in a post on his Facebook handle.
He urged leaders of the South-East to be specific about their demands ahead of the 2023 general election.

There have been calls by South-East members of the APC for the SGF and Senate President positions to be zoned to the region if the party’s presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu emerges winner in 2023.
There have been widespread agitation for a president from the Southeast prior to the presidential primary elections of the APC and opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
However, the aspirants from both parties emerged from the South-West and North-East respectively.
Igbokwe wrote on Facebook, “Leaders of Igbo Nation must collectively and clearly bring their thoughts together to say what we want. We want SSG and SP. We want Biafra too. What do we want as critical stakeholders in Nigeria?”
